MSC ORDERS TWO SHIP CLASSES FROM CHANTIERS DE L’ATLANTIQUE
MSC Cruises announced today the signing of a Memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Saint-Nazaire’s Chantiers de l’Atlantique for the construction of two new ship classes due to be delivered from 2025 to 2030.
The announcement was made on the occasion of “Choose France” event at the Hôtel Matignon in the presence of the French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe, as well as MSC Group’s Founder and Executive Chairman, Gianluigi Aponte, and MSC Cruises Executive Chairman Pierfrancesco Vago.

SC SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH MSC CRUISES TO CHARTER TWO CRUISE LINERS
Doha, Qatar, 18 November 2019 – Qatar’s Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) has signed an agreement with MSC Cruises to charter two cruise liners to accommodate fans during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
MSC GRANDIOSA MAIDEN CALL
MSC Grandiosa was delivered on 31 October at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique (CdA) shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France and is heavily equipped with a comprehensive range of leading-edge environmental technologies and other solutions as with this ship MSC Cruises marks another significant step in its journey towards zero-emissions operations.
NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE UNVEILS
Norwegian Cruise Line announced back in February that it had ordered fours new class cruise ships with an option for another two. The cruise line has now revealed what the new generation ships will look like.
On the occasion of the MSC Meraviglia delivery in May 2017, Chantiers de l’Atlantique and MSC Cruises announced the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding for 2 ships plus 2 options, due for delivery respectively in 2022 and 2024 for the 1st ones and 2025 and 2026 for the options.
